Will the same housekeeper attend each week?
We aim to provide a consistent service, so once a suitable housekeeper has been agreed, they will visit you each week. If your regular housekeeper is on holiday or unwell, we will try to offer a relief housekeeper from our register wherever possible.
Will my housekeeper live nearby?
Housekeepers are offered work close to where they live, helping to keep arrangements practical and reliable. We also do our best to make sure there is no existing personal connection between you and the housekeeper we introduce.
Can I request a different housekeeper?
Our aim is to make a suitable match from the start by introducing a housekeeper who is well suited to your home and requirements. However, we understand that sometimes a change may be needed. If you have any concerns, please contact us and we will do our best to arrange another housekeeper.
What jobs can my housekeeper help with?
Housekeepers can usually help with everyday household cleaning and ironing, as well as smaller occasional tasks that can be rotated from week to week. These may include wiping skirting boards or cleaning the inside of windows, depending on the time available and your household requirements.
Do your housekeepers work in homes with pets?
We always consider pets as part of the matching process and will introduce a housekeeper who is comfortable working in a home with animals. You can introduce your pets during your introductory meeting and discuss any important details or preferences before regular cleaning begins.
Are the housekeepers insured?
Norfolk Maids arranges public liability insurance for each registered housekeeper, with cover up to £2,000,000.
Will my housekeeper use the products I provide?
Your housekeeper will use the cleaning products and equipment you provide, as every home has different surfaces, appliances and preferences. Housekeepers will recommend any products which they have previously found particularly helpful.
Do you offer one-off cleans or deep cleans?
We do not offer one time or deep cleans. Norfolk Maids only offers regular weekly cleans of private domestic properties, starting at a minimum of 2 hours every week.
